Carrie Vaughn, Kitty and The Midnight Hour
Warner (2005) ISBN: 0-446-61641-9
Score: 2.5
Start of a series about a werewolf DJ who sorta accidentally brings the supernatural community into the public eye. Kitty's life and goals are similar to those of Butcher's Harry Dresden, but her attitude and the book's pacing is more like Harris' Sookie Stackhouse. A fast read and very entertaining (especially the people who call into her show). And it looks like we'll be heading into uncharted territory already with the second book, Kitty Goes to Washington (the excerpt shows her being subpoenaed for the Senate hearings).
Next Book: Kristine Smith, Rules of Conflict
