A juvenile fantasy of the type where faeries kidnap human children for their wars, except instead of ethereally beautiful elves this time its grubby soldiers fighting a trench war against unmanned tanks. It had several rather predictable twists plus a couple that I didn't expect. The biggest flaw I saw was the pacing: the chapter breaks seemed to be completely random, and the first page is in media res but without any action and very little information and it doesn't really fit anyplace in the story.
