Start of the Delilah Street, Paranormal Investigator urban fantasy series, set about 10 years after the Millennium Revelation (all the supernaturals stopped hiding on January 1, 2000). I never got a good feel for what is or is not possible when dealing with the supernatural stuff, and found it odd that none of the characters showed any curiosity about how and why the heroine gets her new powers (and even with them she needs to be rescued frequently). This is more romance than fantasy in tone, and the mystery the plot revolves around isn't fully resolved. It seems that the only character that overlaps with her other Las Vegas series is the coroner, and he has a very minor part in both.

Nineteenth Midnight Louie mystery, and probably the last I'll read. The cliffhanger from the previous book was not resolved, and I'm taking that as a sign that the author has lost control of the story (I'm certain the character is still alive, simply because no author would dare say "Oh, I forgot to mention: [major POV character] died a couple a couple books ago.").

The remarkably eventful 18th Midnight Louie book, involving a priceless and politically significant art display. It was nice to see noticeable advancement of the overall plot arcs (which was a surprise, since the author reassured readers in an earlier book that she didn't intend to ever end the series), but I didn't like the huge cliffhanger it ended on (even bigger than the one in Cat in a Crimson Haze).

I bought this on impulse from the author when I met her at a con last month. Midnight Louie and Divine Yvette go to Maine to film a cat food commercial and meet Cthulhu. I normally don't like short stories much, but I like the series this is part of; I've now decided I read the series for the larger story arcs (which aren't touched by the short stories). If you want Lovecraft as seen through the eyes of housepets, read Zelazny's A Night in the Lonesome October instead.

Book 17 of the midnight Louie series, which seems to be drifting back towards mystery (though the inter-character relationships are still an important part of the plots). This book had the characters mostly working alone, and still trying to keep secrets from each other. Matt is in Chicago looking into his past, Max is mostly absent, Molina has acquired her own stalker, and Temple goes undercover on a reality TV show.
