I was expecting a more traditional tale, more like the early scenes in the village and maybe the samurai army. Iron Town was just weird, like a Renfest "Guys and Dolls". Well, no, not really, but that's the closest thing I can think of. And I've never seen anyone decapitated by an arrow before (nor by a bullet). And why was it titled "Princess Mononoke", anyway? Was she the wolf girl? I think that's what was said the one(1) time that name is mentioned. Not that this is her story in the first place.
I don't regret watching it, but I am glad I got it from the library and not Blockbuster. Oh well, back to reading books.
