Second Cassandra Kresnov novel, with less sex and more politics than before (and both overwhelmed by the violence). I really, really like the heroine and the setting, and while the violence was exciting, I wish the reasons for it made more sense.

Nineteenth Midnight Louie mystery, and probably the last I'll read. The cliffhanger from the previous book was not resolved, and I'm taking that as a sign that the author has lost control of the story (I'm certain the character is still alive, simply because no author would dare say "Oh, I forgot to mention: [major POV character] died a couple a couple books ago.").
