The fifth Betsy Taylor book, in which I begin to lose interest in the series. Not a whole lot happens, what does happen doesn't follow logically from previous events, the heroine is getting annoying, and now the author is trying to add in a bunch of serious plot elements. But what really bugged me was the fact that three of the characters were introduced in short stories, not the novels.

Fourth Betsy Taylor book, dealing with wedding plans, advice columns, and a serial killer. Silly fluff, but worth reading for the phrase "helpless psycho vampire".

Third Betsy Taylor book, with a wedding, baby shower, vampire union, temporary insanity, the devil's daughter, and George the knitting feral vampire. I hope she does more with the last two in future books.

Score: 3

First book of an urban fantasy/vampire romance series; very, very similar in tone and style to Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series. The book starts with Betsy dying and discovering she's a vampire. Betsy turns out to be immune to some of the normal vampire weaknesses, which annoys the megalomaniac who rules the local vamp population, except for a couple independents who are convinced Betsy is the prophesied Queen of the Undead. Betsy of course wants nothing to do with any of them, and concerns herself with more important matters, like retrieving her collection of designer shoes from her greedy stepmother.

Second Betsy Taylor novel. Someone is killing vampires, and the Queen of the Undead is responsible for stopping it. Which is rather inconvenient since she just started working at her dream job: selling shoes at Macy's.
