Eighth book of the Young Wizards series; this time instead of having to save an entire world, our young heroes have to save the whole universe. The first half was rather slow as it explains what the threat is and why the older wizards can't help and why no one can talk about what's really happening. The whole plot seemed awfully contrived despite many of the twists being set up in the previous three books. The author had several opportunities to break free from her formula, but didn't, so I may stop reading the series.
