Tamara Siler Jones, Ghosts in the Snow
Bantam (2004) ISBN: 0-553-58709-9
Score: 1.2
First in a series of high fantasy police procedurals (which is why I picked it up). The ghosts of murdered people haunt the hero until justice is served (which is his job anyway). And while I enjoy watching characters being honest and intelligent, the techniques used seemed rather out of place for a feudal society. They were also fairly useless in this case, since the author deliberately gave the murderer a motive and means that are unique and not very plausible.
Next Book: Stephan Zielinski, Bad Magic
