The second Detective Inspector Chen novel, which mainly focuses on the demon Zhu Irzh (Chen spends the first half in Hawaii). Once again Chinese religious elements make life interesting for the residents of Singapore Three. One has to wonder how atheists manage to avoid believing in the face of monthly invasions from Hell.

First book about Detective Inspector Chen, a cop in Singapore Three responsible for handling supernatural crimes due to his connections to Heaven and Hell (the Chinese versions, which means lots of bureaucracy). Fun and fast-paced (the chapters averaged about 4 pages each), and I was surprised at how easy it was for me tell the characters about, since I'm not used to Chinese names.
