Carole Nelson Douglas, Cat in a Quicksilver Caper
Forge (2006) ISBN: 0-765-31400-2
Score: 0.5
The remarkably eventful 18th Midnight Louie book, involving a priceless and politically significant art display. It was nice to see noticeable advancement of the overall plot arcs (which was a surprise, since the author reassured readers in an earlier book that she didn't intend to ever end the series), but I didn't like the huge cliffhanger it ended on (even bigger than the one in Cat in a Crimson Haze).
