Conclusion to the Jani Kilian series, involving an assassination and lots and lots of politics. The ending may be a bit too neat, but it's still nice to see a book that doesn't just stop right after the climax.

Fourth Jani Kilian book, in which no one tries to kill her (they're all too busy trying to kill each other).

Third of the Jani Kilian books; more politics, more paperwork, more attempts on Jani's life (but for once it's not her body trying to kill her). Lots of excitement, new characters, and we see old ones in new roles as the political situation gradually changes.

Second book about Jani Kilian, in which she finally has a chance to use her real name. Other than that, not much different than Code of Conduct.

Start of a science fiction series about documents technician Jani Kilian. Jani is a lot like Hodgell's Jamethiel and Kage Baker's Mendoza (very good at her job, very bad at dealing with people, and very destructive when pushed too far). She'd been hiding from the authorities for 18 years (due to her actions during an alien civil war), when an old flame (now Internal Minister) asks her to investigate his wife's death. Lots of lies, politics, and manipulation ensue. At the end I wasn't too sure who knew what when, nor who was working for whom, but it was still an enjoyable read.
